FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS

Annual Financial Statements are filed with the Charities Register, administered by the Department of Internal Affairs. Summarised Financial Statements for the Trust to date are shown below.

[1] The 2011 year shown covers a 14 month period from the Trust’s commencement, November 2010. The Trust has a 31 December balance date. [2] Administration & Website costs over the 6 years to date are just 1.3% of funds received. [3] Funds are generally transferred to KBS Jumla in January/February, for the start of the school year. New Zealand Bank balances shown at year-end are therefore higher than normal at other times of the year, pending such transfers. Funds were also accumulated for the completion of the new school building, for transfer on completion of significant stages in the construction of this. [4] A ‘deficit’ shown for 2016 means just that the funds transferred to Nepal for completion of the school building, $33,000, were greater than funds received in New Zealand that year.
